Cloud HR System
The client is a global enterprise with employees spread across several countries and business units. Its HR function supports the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through performance management, leave, payroll and exit, while also answering to leadership for workforce planning and to regulators for employment and data protection obligations. Its workforce includes office-based staff and managers in several time zones.
Over time, the organisation had accumulated a patchwork of HR tools, regional spreadsheets and payroll interfaces. As it grew internationally, that patchwork became a strategic constraint: leadership could not see the workforce as a whole, and HR spent its time maintaining data rather than supporting people. The client chose Microsoft Azure as the foundation for a unified, cloud-native HR platform aligned with its existing Microsoft environment.
This project was delivered under a Non-Disclosure Agreement. The client operates in the HR Tech sector (Cloud HR) and is based in Global.
HR processes ran across multiple disconnected systems and spreadsheets. The same employee might appear with different details in the HR record, the leave tracker and the payroll file, and correcting discrepancies was manual and repetitive. Onboarding and offboarding depended on emails and checklists, so steps such as account provisioning or access removal were easy to miss.
These gaps created compliance risk, particularly around personal data handled under GDPR and differing local employment rules. They also left leadership without meaningful HR insight: headcount, attrition, leave patterns and performance trends could only be assembled through time-consuming manual reporting, so strategic workforce decisions were made with incomplete and often outdated information.
Disconnected HR tools
Unified cloud HR platform
PapaSiddhi built a comprehensive cloud HR platform on Microsoft Azure, with a React front end, a Node.js application layer and Azure SQL as the single source of employee data. Azure AD provides enterprise single sign-on, so employees and managers access the system with their existing corporate credentials and access is governed centrally.
The platform delivers complete employee lifecycle management, with automated onboarding and offboarding workflows that coordinate tasks across HR, IT and line managers. A performance review and goal-setting system supports structured review cycles, while leave and attendance management replaces regional spreadsheets with consistent policies and approvals. Payroll integration through a payroll API passes validated employee and leave data directly to payroll processing.
An HR analytics dashboard built with Power BI gives leadership real-time workforce insight drawn from the unified Azure SQL data. The platform was designed with GDPR and local employment law requirements in mind, including role-based access and controlled handling of personal data. Development followed an iterative approach, with HR stakeholders reviewing each module so workflows matched real policies before they were rolled out across countries.
Reduced HR administrative time by 55%, eliminated data inconsistencies across systems, and provided leadership with real-time workforce analytics for the first time. Full GDPR and employment law compliance achieved.

This project was delivered under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Specific client details, business data, proprietary workflows, and project credentials remain confidential. Screenshots and live URLs are available upon mutual NDA execution.
Request an NDA to see full detailsFor large enterprises with standard processes, an established HR product is usually the better answer and we would say so. Custom made sense here because the organisation needed unified employee management, payroll integration and Azure-native identity working together in a way the licensing and configuration limits of an off-the-shelf product made costly.
Let's discuss your project and create a success story together.
