The client is a global enterprise software organisation whose database platform, Microsoft SQL Server, underpins transactional systems for businesses worldwide. Its audience for this project was technical: database administrators, data architects and IT decision-makers evaluating whether to adopt the In-Memory OLTP engine, known as Hekaton, for performance-critical workloads.
Adoption of a new database engine depends on proof. Enterprise teams are conservative about changing how mission-critical systems store and process transactions, and they want to see the performance difference on realistic workloads before investing in migration and licence upgrades. A credible, hands-on demonstration was therefore central to the client's technology adoption and field sales strategy.
This project was delivered under a Non-Disclosure Agreement. The client operates in the Technology sector (Database Technology) and is based in Global.
In-Memory OLTP introduced memory-optimised tables and natively compiled stored procedures, delivering substantial throughput and latency gains for suitable workloads. However, the benefits were being communicated mainly through slide decks and whitepapers, and theoretical explanations did not convince database teams who had heard performance claims before.
Sales engineers needed a repeatable way to show the difference live, in front of customers, without building a bespoke lab for every meeting. The demonstration had to be accurate, configurable for different scenarios and visually clear to both technical and executive audiences.
There was also a gap between the demo and further learning: once interest was sparked, attendees had no easy route to supporting documentation or a record of the results they had just seen.

PapaSiddhi Technologies built an interactive, web-based benchmarking tool with a React front end and a Node.js orchestration layer driving workloads against SQL Server through the Microsoft SQL Server APIs. The same transactional workload runs side by side against traditional disk-based tables and memory-optimised tables, so users can see a like-for-like live performance comparison.
Real-time throughput and latency visualisations chart transactions per second and response times as tests run. Configurable test parameters, such as concurrency, batch size and workload type, allow presenters to tailor scenarios to a customer's environment, while interactive guided workflows walk less experienced users through each step and explain what they are seeing.
At the end of a session, users can download performance reports to share internally, and integrated links to technical documentation connect each scenario to deeper guidance on implementing In-Memory OLTP.
Significantly improved enterprise adoption rates for Hekaton technology. Used extensively by Microsoft sales teams in customer demonstrations, contributing to measurable increases in SQL Server license upgrades.

This project was delivered under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Specific client details, business data, proprietary workflows, and project credentials remain confidential. Screenshots and live URLs are available upon mutual NDA execution.
Request an NDA to see full detailsYes — the underlying principle applies to any product whose value is hard to convey in slides. The pattern is letting prospects run a real comparison and see live metrics, which is far more persuasive than claimed benchmarks, and it works for any technology with a measurable before-and-after.
